Gabriola trustees choose next step for OCP engagement
The committee directed staff to let residents review existing draft policies and add a community meeting on housing options and growth management.

Staff will proceed with community review of existing draft policies for Gabriola’s Official Community Plan, with a meeting on housing options and growth management added to the engagement process.[1]
The committee also asked staff to develop options for a summer community meeting focused on housing options and growth management, and endorsed a revised project charter for the OCP and Land Use Bylaw review.[1]
The minutes say feedback from focus groups and the public pointed to interest in more time to review draft policy language; staff were to review and summarize feedback, then bring revised goals and objectives back to the committee for input and direction.[1]
